One Room, Jouvenceaux

An experience like non others offered by Sauze Stayz.

One Room is an Art Suite designed and created by the sculptor and artist from Val di Susa Maurizio Perron and located in the Alpine village of Jouvenceaux (Sauze d’Oulx), in the province of Turin.

It all started a year earlier, when Maurizio Perron and his Dutch colleague, Marjolein Vonk, created the ice suite “The Great Escape”, as part of the 18th edition of the Ice Hotel in Jukkasjärvi, Swedish Lapland.

The concept of “The Great Escape” is based on sustainable luxury, which is not made up of status symbols or expensive objects, but rather of having free time to play and dedicate to oneself, as one did as a child.

From ice to wood, the step for Maurizio is short.

On December 30, 2018, One Room opens its doors. A unique project, a place created to invite guests to take time for themselves, to play and maybe build a tree house, like they did when they were kids.

The suite is 30 square meters large and is entirely made with eco-sustainable materials and built according to green building criteria.

The furniture in the room and bathroom, as well as the wall coverings and floors, were all handmade by Maurizio, in larch from the Susa Valley.

Entering One Room means immersing yourself in an atmosphere suspended in time, enchanted, which brings the guest back to contact with nature, with its materials, times and colors.

The suite has a family-run service and everything that can make each guest feel at the center of special attention, respecting the nature that surrounds us:

-breakfast service at the property’s bar or in the room, on request; parking reserved for guests;

-herbal tea and coffee corner;

-certified organic bathroom products;

-private heated ski-box;

One Room wants to offer each couple of guests the luxury of a unique and timeless space, without giving up the comforts and services of one of the most renowned mountain tourism centers in our Alps.
